The Chevrolet Corvette for 2025 has some new colors for all of us to enjoy.
There is I guess what some people call a new color. It’s actually a previous color that was available for the last year of the C7 in 2019. It was also available for the first couple of years of the C8 Corvette in 2020 and 2021. So let’s take a look.
Purple is being introduced as a new color for the 2025 model year. Purple has been on the color list for another American manufacturer’s list off and on for the past fifty five years. But purple has never been on any Corvette palette until now.
The shade of purple looks like a dark blue from a distance, but when you get close to it, you can really see the purple content in the paint. The model shown above has the optional Z51 performance option.
Yellow has been on the color chip list since 1955. Several shades of yellow have been available over the past seven decades. The shade chosen for 2025 has been named Competition Yellow.
I haven’t had a chance to see this one up close and personal just yet. I’m not sure if it’s a reboot of the yellow used on the previous C7 and C8 Corvette racing team, or if it’s closer in shade to the vintage Daytona Yellow from the 1969-1970 model years. This competition color has a metallic component to it, so it’s not a flat color.
Orange has been on the Corvette color palette since Monaco Orange was available on the 1969 model. This color was a non-metallic color. In 1970, Ontario Orange was introduced with a nice metallic component and it was available through the 1972 model year. Other shades of orange were available into the seventies, but in my opinion, they were not as nice as the two I’ve just discussed.
Sebring Orange is a re-introduced color for the 2025 Corvette. It was available when this new model was introduced in 2020 and into 2021. Actually, it was available towards the tail end of the C7 Corvette production. Sebring Orange has a nice metallic component and it has always been one of my favorite colors on a Corvette. I’m glad to see that it’s back!
There are some new aluminum wheel choices for 2025, and when I have more information about those, I will post them here at Corvette Legends.
