Corvette Legends was created by Dr Pete.
Dr Pete grew up in the St. Louis Missouri suburb of Creve Coeur. He purchased his first Corvette when he was a teenager and had refinished, repaired, restored, and sold three metal bumper C3 Corvettes before he graduated from high school. Pete would only consider and purchase Corvettes that were well maintained and very close to original. He would pass on dozens of beat up Corvettes that presented with mis-matched trim tags, incorrect or damaged exterior components, poorly maintained engines, and incorrect mechanical parts. He has always been a purist when it comes to Corvettes. Original Trim Codes were available back then and so were most factory parts from local Chevrolet dealerships. Reproduction parts really didn’t exist for the C3 Corvette back then. His knowledge of the appearance and finish of original Corvettes started here.
